Claims11
An inflatable article inflated with a fluid comprising at least one perfluorocarbon compound selected from the group consisting of perfluoromethane, perfluoroethane, perfluoropropane, and perfluorobutane, wherein the total amount of the perfluorocarbon compound fluid comprises less than about 20 percent by weight of the inflation fluid;
- the inflation fluid also comprising at least one nonperfluorocarbon gas selected from the group consisting of nitrogen and argon.
A process for inflating an inflatable article, the process comprising inflating the inflatable article with an inflation fluid comprising at least one perfluorocarbon compound selected from the group consisting of perfluoromethane, perfluoroethane, perfluoropropane, and perfluorobutane, wherein the total amount of the perfluorocarbon compound fluid comprises less than about 20 percent by weight of the inflation fluid;
- the inflation fluid also comprising at least one nonperfluorocarbon gas selected from the group consisting of nitrogen and argon, and sealing the article to prevent escape of the fluid.
