Base station and control method of base station

A base station of a mobile communication system comprising:

• a transmission unit for transmitting a pilot beacon such that a mobile terminal detects the base station, wherein the pilot beacon is transmitted at a first frequency within a first cell at least part of which is located within a second cell that transmits a second radio wave at said first frequency;
• a registration unit for registering information on a mobile terminal to use the base station;
• and
• a control unit for controlling the transmission unit to stop transmission of the pilot beacon at said first frequency if all of terminals registered with the registration unit perform location registration to the base station,
• wherein the control unit controls the transmission unit to stop transmission of a first radio wave of the base station at a second frequency when no registered mobile terminals are in a service area of the base station, and to transmit the first radio wave at said second frequency together with the pilot beacon at said first frequency when a registered mobile terminal is detected in the service area of the base station.
