Abstract
A method for providing a ticket and/or an authorization relating to an event may comprise: providing a ticket and/or an authorization configured to be stored on an electronic device; wherein the electronic device is of a type that can receive and reproduce wirelessly received data, and/or can delay and reproduce wirelessly received data substantially in time alignment with natural sound received via the atmosphere. The ticket and/or authorization may enable the electronic device to be used at the event and/or to gain entry to the event; and may further enable the electronic device to also obtain at least one other use related to the event.
Claims146
A method for providing a ticket and/or an authorization relating to a certain event by a ticketing entity, the method comprising:
- receiving an offer to obtain a ticket, an authorization, or both, relating to a certain event, the offer including event identifying data, personal data, payment data, and wireless device identifying data;
- wherein the wireless device is of a type that can receive wirelessly receivable program data, that can time align the wirelessly received program data to be substantially in time alignment with natural sound received via the atmosphere, and that can reproduce the delayed wirelessly received program data substantially in time alignment with the natural sound;
- issuing a ticket, an authorization, or both, including event identifying data, authorization data, and wireless device identifying data, wherein the event identifying data, the authorization data, and the wireless device identifying data correspond to the certain event identifying data, the authorization identifying data, and the wireless device identifying data of the received offer;
- storing ticket data representing the issued ticket, the issued authorization, or both;
- and at or about the time of the certain event:
- receiving data relating to a ticket, an authorization, or both;
- verifying at least ticket data, authorization data and wireless device identifying data of the received data relating to the ticket, the authorization, or both, by comparison with the stored ticket data representing the issued ticket, the issued authorization, or both;
- and
- if the received ticket data, received authorization data and received wireless device identifying data are verified, then issuing a verification enabling admission to the certain event and use of the identified wireless device to wirelessly receive program data, to reproduce wirelessly received program data and/or to delay and reproduce wirelessly received program data,
- wherein the ticket data, the authorization data, or both, control the identified wireless device in accordance with the ticket data, authorization data, or both;
- whereby the identified wireless device is thereby enabled in accordance with the issued ticket, the issued authorization, or both, to wirelessly receive program data, to reproduce wirelessly received program data and/or to delay and reproduce the wirelessly received program data substantially in time alignment with natural sound received via the atmosphere;
- or
- if the received ticket data, received authorization data and received wireless device identifying data are not verified, then not issuing a verification and denying admission to the certain event and denying use of the identified wireless device to receive wirelessly receivable program data thereat,
- whereby the ticketing entity maintains control of the issued ticket and of the authorization associated therewith.
A method for providing a ticket and/or an authorization relating to a certain event comprising:
- providing a ticket and/or an authorization relating to a certain event;
- wherein the ticket and/or authorization is configured to be stored on an electronic device;
- wherein the electronic device is of a type that can receive wirelessly receivable program data, reproduce wirelessly received program data, and/or delay and reproduce wirelessly received program data for time aligning the wirelessly received program data to be substantially in time alignment with natural sound received via the atmosphere;
- wherein the ticket and/or authorization enables the electronic device to be used at the certain event and/or to gain entry to the certain event;
- and
- wherein the ticket and/or authorization further enables the electronic device to obtain in addition to use at and/or entry to the certain event at least one other use related to the certain event.
