Abstract
The invention relates to a continuous neutralization process in which at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid is neutralized at least partly with a base and the temperature of the neutralized solution is less than 70° C., and also to an apparatus for carrying out the process.
Claims15
A neutralization process in which at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having a temperature from 0° C. to 40° C. is neutralized partly with a base, which comprises carrying out the neutralization continuously and a temperature of the neutralized solution being less than 70° C., wherein the neutralized solution is recycled partly into the neutralization.
A neutralization process in which at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having a temperature from 0° C. to 40° C. is neutralized partly with a base, which comprises carrying out the neutralization continuously and a temperature of the neutralized solution being less than 50° C., wherein the neutralized solution is recycled partly into the neutralization, and the recycled neutralized solution, in the neutralization, is admixed successively with the base and the ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid.
