Abstract
Certain biphenyl compounds are serotonin modulators useful in the treatment of serotonin-mediated diseases.

A compound selected from the group consisting of (a) compounds of formulae (I) or (II):
- wherein
- R1 is —H, —C1-4alkyl, or C3-6cycloalkyl;
- m is 1;
- n is 1 or 2;
- L is absent or O;
- R2 is —H, halo, —CN, —CF3, —OC0-4alkylCF3, —OC1-4alkyl, —C3-6cycloalkoxy, —OCH2C3-6cycloalkyl, or —C(O)N(Ra)2;
- each Ra is individually —H or —C1-4alkyl;
- R3 is —H or —C1-4alkyl;
- o is 0, 1, or 2;
- and
- each R4 substituent is independently —H, halo, —OCF3, —CF3, —CN, —C1-4alkyl, or —OC1-4alkyl;
- and (b) pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compounds of Formulae (I) or (II).

A pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of at least one chemical entity selected from compounds of Formulae (I) or (II):
- wherein

- R3 is —H or —C1-4alkyl;
- o is 0, 1, or 2;
- and
