Abstract
Certain embodiments described herein are directed to silane coupling agents that may be used, for example, to covalently couple a polymer to a filler. In some examples, devices that include the polymer-silane coupling agent-filler compositions are also described.

A composition comprising a fluoropolymer covalently coupled to a filler through a thermally stable silane coupling agent, the silane coupling agent selected from the group consisting of TAIC-silane, TMAIC-silane, TAC-silane and combinations thereof, in which substantially all of the reactive sites of the filler are covalently coupled to the silane coupling agent.
