Abstract
A method of imparting corrosion resistance to an edge of a multilayer window film having a metal layer arranged between a pair of polymeric layers includes the step of treating the edge of the window film with a corrosion inhibitor.

A method of imparting corrosion resistance to an edge of a multilayer window film construction comprising a metal layer arranged between a pair of polymeric layers, the method comprising the step of treating the edge of the window film with a corrosion inhibitor, wherein the corrosion inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of 1-octaddecane thiol (ODT), trimethylol propane tris(3-mercapto propionate) (TMP), 5-methyl-1H-benotriazole (MBT), pentaerythritol tetrakis(3-mercapto propionate) (PTT) and glycol dimercaptoacetate (GDA).
