Abstract
Methods for treating a renal associated condition in a subject are provided. Aspects of the subject methods include paradoxically enhancing renal sympathetic bias in the subject in a manner effective to treat the renal associated condition. Also provided are compositions, kits and systems for practicing the subject methods.
Claims15
A method of treating a renal associated condition in a subject, said method comprising:
- paradoxically enhancing renal sympathetic bias non-chronically in said subject in a manner effective to cause the subject to mount a compensatory response to the enhanced renal sympathetic bias to treat said renal associated condition, wherein said enhancing comprises non-chronically applying an electrical stimulus to said subject.
