A synergistic antimicrobial composition comprising:

(a) 3-iodo-2-propynyl-butylcarbamate;
and (b) flumetsulam;
wherein a weight ratio of 3-iodo-2-propynyl-butylcarbamate to flumetsulam is from 4:1 to 2:1.
