## Abstract

The invention provides a herbicidal composition containing, as an active ingredient, glycerol fatty acid ester obtained from fatty acid having an even-numbered carbon number of 6-12 and glycerol.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A herbicidal method comprising applying, to a target plant selected from annual grasses and wind-pollinated flowers, an effective amount of a composition comprising, as an active ingredient, glycerol fatty acid ester obtained from fatty acid having a carbon number of 6 or 8 and glycerol.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The herbicidal method according to claim 1, wherein the fatty acid is caprylic acid.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The herbicidal method according to claim 1, wherein the fatty acid is caproic acid.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The herbicidal method according to claim 1, wherein the glycerol fatty acid ester is monoester.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The herbicidal method according to claim 1, wherein the composition is an emulsion or solubilized liquid containing 0.5-30 mass % of the glycerol fatty acid ester.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The herbicidal method according to claim 1, wherein the target plant is ragweed or giant ragweed.

### Claim 7 (depends on 2)

The herbicidal method according to claim 2, the glycerol fatty acid ester is monoester.

### Claim 8 (depends on 3)

The herbicidal method according to claim 3, the glycerol fatty acid ester is monoester.

### Claim 9 (depends on 2)

The herbicidal method according to claim 2, wherein the composition is an emulsion or solubilized liquid containing 0.5-30 mass % of the glycerol fatty acid ester.

### Claim 10 (depends on 3)

The herbicidal method according to claim 3, wherein the composition is an emulsion or solubilized liquid containing 0.5-30 mass % of the glycerol fatty acid ester.

### Claim 11 (depends on 4)

The herbicidal method according to claim 4, wherein the composition is an emulsion or solubilized liquid containing 0.5-30 mass % of the glycerol fatty acid ester.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The herbicidal method according to claim 7, wherein the composition is an emulsion or solubilized liquid containing 0.5-30 mass % of the glycerol fatty acid ester.

### Claim 13 (depends on 8)

The herbicidal method according to claim 8, wherein the composition is an emulsion or solubilized liquid containing 0.5-30 mass % of the glycerol fatty acid ester.

### Claim 14 (depends on 2)

The herbicidal method according to claim 2, wherein the target plant is ragweed or giant ragweed.

### Claim 15 (depends on 7)

The herbicidal method according to claim 7, wherein the target plant is ragweed or giant ragweed.

### Claim 16 (depends on 12)

The herbicidal method according to claim 12, wherein the target plant is ragweed or giant ragweed.
