Abstract
A system for detecting and minimizing interference in a radio receiver includes a plurality of bandpass filters having different response characteristics, a power detector configured to compare a power output of a first bandpass filter and a second bandpass filter, and logic to cascade a third bandpass filter when the difference in power output between the power output of the first bandpass filter and the power output of the second bandpass filter exceeds a threshold amount.
Claims7
A system for detecting and minimizing interference in a radio receiver, comprising:
- a plurality of bandpass filters comprising at least a first bandpass filter and a second bandpass filter, the first and second bandpass filters having different response characteristics, an output of the first bandpass filter coupled to an input of the second bandpass filter;
- a power detector configured to compare a power output of the first bandpass filter and a power output of the second bandpass filter;
- and a third bandpass filter having a different response characteristic from the first and second bandpass filters coupled to the second bandpass filter when the difference in power output between the power output of the first bandpass filter and the power output of the second bandpass filter exceeds a threshold amount, wherein the threshold amount is dynamically changed to prevent chattering during bandwidth switching.
