Abstract
The present invention relates to a lens care solution comprising: 0.001 to about 5 weight percent of a low molecular weight amine of the general formula: Where R1, R2, R3 and R4 are —H or low molecular weight radicals, and R5 is a low molecular weight radical, or salt thereof; an effective amount of tonicity agent; and the balance water.

A method for contacting a contact lens comprising the steps of:
- providing a contact lens;
- and
- contacting said contact lens with a solution comprising 0.001 to about 5 weight percent of creatine;
- an effective amount of biologically compatible buffer to maintain the pH of the solution between 5.5 and 8.5 pH;
- and the balance water.

A method for delivering an ophthalmic solution comprising the steps of:
- providing a bottle containing an ophthalmic solution comprising 0.001 to about 5 weight percent of creatine;
- an effective amount of biologically compatible buffer to maintain the pH of the solution between 5.5 and 8.5 pH;
- and the balance water;
- and
- squeezing said bottle to deliver drops of said solution to an eye.
