Abstract
The present invention relates to blocking, inhibiting, reducing, antagonizing or neutralizing the activity of IL-17A and IL-17F. IL-17A and IL-17F are cytokines that are involved in inflammatory processes and human disease. The present invention includes antibodies that bind both IL-17A and IL-17F, hybridomas that produce the antibodies, and methods of using the same in inflammation.
Claims8
An isolated polynucleotide encoding a cross-reactive monoclonal antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof which specifically binds to both IL-17A (SEQ ID NO:2) and IL-17F (SEQ ID NO:4), wherein the antibody or antigen-binding fragment inhibits the binding of both IL-17A and IL-17F to IL-17RC, and wherein the antibody or antigen-binding fragment binds to the same epitope as the antibody produced by the hybridoma clone designation number 339.15.3.6 (ATCC Patent Deposit Designation PTA-7988).
