Abstract
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a support and a photosensitive layer. The electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a surface layer that contains a polymer produced by the polymerization of a compound having a chain-polymerizable functional group. The compound having a chain-polymerizable functional group is a compound represented by the following formula (1).
Claims11
An electrophotographic photosensitive member, comprising:
- a support,
- a photosensitive layer formed on the support,
- wherein the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a surface layer comprising a polymer obtainable by the polymerization of a compound with one or more chain-polymerizable functional groups,
- wherein the compound with one or more chain-polymerizable functional groups is a compound represented by the following formula (1);
- and
- wherein, in the formula (1),
- Ar1 to Ar3 each independently represents an unsubstituted or substituted phenylene group,
- M1 to M3 each independently represents a group represented by the above formula (2M), a group represented by the above formula (3M), or a group represented by the above formula (4M),
- at least one of the M1 to M3 is the group represented by the formula (3M), and
- a substituent group of the substituted phenylene group is each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a halogen atom.
