Abstract
Transparent ink-jet recording films, compositions, and methods are disclosed. Such films exhibit improved ink-drying and smudging performance. These films exhibit high maximum optical densities and have low haze values. These films are useful for medical imaging.
Claims7
A transparent ink-jet recording film comprising:
- a transparent support;
- at least one under-layer comprising at least one first polymer comprising gelatin and at least one borate or borate derivative;
- and
- at least one image-receiving layer disposed on the at least one under-layer, said at least one image-receiving layer comprising at least one second polymer and at least one inorganic particle, said at least one second polymer comprising at least one water soluble or water dispersible cross-linkable polymer comprising at least one hydroxyl group,
- wherein at least one of the at least one image-receiving layer further comprises sucrose in an amount of at least about 1.7 wt % and less than 4.3 wt %.
