Method of mounting objects to polymeric membranes

A method to mount an object to a support structure, the method comprising:

• elastically moving the object relative to the support structure with an elastic membrane as force is exerted on the object, the elastic membrane comprising:
• an upper surface;
• and
• a lower surface having:
• a first surface area, the first surface area extending peripherally along at least a portion of a perimeter of the lower surface;
• and
• a second surface area, the second surface area being at least partially enclosed within the first surface area;
• bonding an absorbent material to the first surface area;
• applying an adhesive to a top surface area of the support structure;
• bonding the absorbent material with at least a portion of the adhesive;
• and
• wherein the second surface area is positioned at least partially below the object;
• and
• wherein the first surface area of the elastic membrane remains attached to the support structure via the absorbent material while the second surface area of the elastic membrane remains separable from the support structure such that the second surface area elastically extends in a direction away from the support structure as a force is exerted against the object.
