Abstract
Systems for remotely verifying the identity of an image include an identity capture device adapted to communicate with a computing device and a database. The identity capture device captures an image, and the computing device searches the database for information to authenticate and verify the image. For remotely connected computing devices, a communications network provides communication between the computing devices and the database. Other systems and methods are also provided.
Claims20
An apparatus, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- memory for storing code that when executed causes the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving an image of a fingerprint captured by a badge;
- storing identification records in a database;
- querying the database for the image of the fingerprint;
- determining a match between the image of the fingerprint and the identification records;
- querying for a location of the badge when the image of the fingerprint matches the identification records;
- receiving the location of the badge;
- and
- associating the badge to the location in the database.
A method for identifying a location of a user, comprising:
- receiving an image of a fingerprint captured by a badge;
- storing user identification records in a database;
- querying the database for the image of the fingerprint;
- determining a match between the image of the fingerprint and the user identification records;
- retrieving an identity of the user associated with the badge;
- querying for a location of the badge when the image of the fingerprint matches the user identification records;
- receiving the location of the badge;
- and
- associating in the database the identity of the user to the location of the badge.
A computer readable memory storing processor executable instructions for performing a method, the method comprising:
- receiving an image of a fingerprint captured by a badge;
- storing user identification records in a database;
- querying the database for the image of the fingerprint;
- determining a match between the image of the fingerprint and the user identification records;
- retrieving an identity of the user associated with the badge;
- querying for a location of the badge when the image of the fingerprint matches the user identification records;
- receiving the location of the badge;
- and
- associating in the database the identity of the user to the location of the badge.
