Abstract
The present invention comprises cosmetic compositions and methods for retarding hair growth comprising a combination of an ornithine decarboxylase inhibitor, an anti-angiogenic active and an anti-inflammatory.
Claims15
A method of retarding the growth of hair comprising:
- applying a topical composition, said topical composition comprising:
- a) from 0.1 to 50% of an ornithine decarboxylase inhibitor, said ornithine decarboxylase inhibitor being a pentacyclic triterprene;
- b) from 0.01 to 10% of an anti-angiogenic active agent;
- c) from 0.0001 to 20% of an anti-inflammatory;
- and
- d) a cosmetically acceptable vehicle.

A method of retarding hair growth comprising applying a cosmetic composition comprising:
- a) from 0.1 to 50% of a penticylic triterpene;
- b) from 0.01 to 10% of a sphingolipid;
- c) from 0.0001 to 20% of gorgonian extract;
- and
- d) a cosmetically acceptable vehicle.
