Abstract
A method, system and device are provided for avoiding in-device coexistence interference between different radio technologies deployed in adjacent bands on the same device by estimating and identifying Bluetooth component interference activation when configuring LTE and non-LTE components to provide an in-device coexistence operation mode.
Claims44
A method for identifying Bluetooth interference in user equipment (UE) comprising first and second radio components on a single platform, comprising:
- detecting signal interference at the first radio component;
- measuring received signal power at the first radio component at predetermined time intervals to generate a plurality of measurement values corresponding to a Bluetooth Synchronous Connection Oriented (SCO) transmission or Extended Synchronous Connection Oriented (eSCO) transmission;
- and
- sending an in-device coexistence indicator message from the first radio component if the plurality of measurement values exceed a threshold power value to indicate SCO or eSCO interference from the second radio component.
A user equipment device comprising first and second radio components on a single platform, comprising:
- one or more antennas for transmitting and receiving one or more signals;
- and
- a first radio component comprising a first plurality of RF protocol layers;
- a second radio component comprising a second plurality of RF protocol layers;
- and
- processor control logic and/or circuitry configured to identify Bluetooth interference at the first radio component caused by the second radio component by:
- detecting signal interference at the first radio component;
- measuring received signal power at the first radio component at predetermined time intervals to generate a plurality of measurement values corresponding to a Bluetooth Synchronous Connection Oriented (SCO) transmission or Extended Synchronous Connection Oriented (eSCO) transmission;
- and
- sending an in-device coexistence indicator message from the first radio component if the plurality of measurement values exceed a threshold power value to indicate SCO or eSCO interference from the second radio component.
A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therein, said computer readable program code adapted to be executed to implement a method for identifying Bluetooth interference in user equipment (UE) comprising first and second radio components on a single platform, comprising:
- instructions for detecting signal interference at the first radio component;
- instructions for measuring received signal power at the first radio component at predetermined time intervals to generate a plurality of measurement values corresponding to a Bluetooth Synchronous Connection Oriented (SCO) transmission or Extended Synchronous Connection Oriented (eSCO) transmission;
- and
- instructions for sending an in-device coexistence indicator message from the first radio component if the plurality of measurement values exceed a threshold power value to indicate SCO or eSCO interference from the second radio component.
