## Abstract

An electronic apparatus includes a circuit board; a housing which incorporates the circuit board and includes, on the bottom surface of the housing, an opening, through which a portion of one surface of the circuit board is visible, and a fastening hole; an electronic component mounted in the opening and accommodated in the housing; and a fastening member inserted into the fastening hole and fixing the housing. The housing has a rib formed along the entire circumference of the opening, and the rib extends from the circumferential edge of the opening toward the circuit board and prevents the fastening member that has fallen into the opening from entering the housing.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An electronic apparatus comprising:
a circuit board; and
a housing which incorporates the circuit board and includes an opening on a surface of the housing and a fastening hole, the opening being configured to receive an electronic component and at least a portion of the circuit board being visible through the opening when the electronic component is not arranged within the opening,
wherein the housing includes a rib including a first portion and a second portion opposite to the first portion with respect to the opening, and each of the first portion and the second portion extend from the circumferential edge of the opening toward the circuit board and includes an end that sets a gap between the end and the circuit board in the extended direction of the rib.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The electronic apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the electronic component is a hard disk drive.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The electronic apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a fan provided at a position on a side of the rib across from the electronic component to generate air flow passing through the gap.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The electronic apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a display panel and a second housing which accommodates the display panel and is connected to the housing such that the second housing may be opened and closed.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The electronic apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a fastening member, wherein
the fastening hole is configured to receive the fastening member,
the electronic component is arranged within the opening, and
the fastening member fixes the electronic component to the housing when the fastening member is inserted into the fastening hole.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The electronic apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a keyboard, and
wherein the housing includes a top surface and a bottom surface, and the keyboard is mounted on the top surface of the housing and the opening is formed on the bottom surface of the housing.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The electronic apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the fastening member is a screw and the fastening hole is a threaded hole.
