Abstract
The invention provides location information indicating the geographical location of a mobile station via a core net-work node serving the mobile station The method includes the steps of initiating a communication between the mobile station and the network by calculating the geographical location, supplying corresponding location information indicating the geographical location to the core network node, and subsequently routing the communication between the mobile station and the network.

A method comprising:
- causing, at least in part, a detection of a request for an establishment of a communication session over a communications network with a mobile terminal;
- determining, in response to the request, location information of the mobile terminal for use in the establishment of the communication session;
- and
- determining to generate a setup request for the establishment of the communication session for forwarding, along with the location information, to a core node of the communications network.

- at least one processor;

- at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,
- the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,

- cause, at least in part, a forwarding of the setup request, along with the location information, to a core node of the communications network;

- the core node configured to determine to generate a control initiation message to forward, along with the location information, to a service node of the communications network, for initiating control functions associated with the establishment of the communications session.
