Abstract
Upon reception of content information (step S1), a control unit decides a different notification sound in accordance with an identifier attached to the received content information (step S4). The control unit causes a reproduction unit (5) to reproduce the decided notification sound. Thus, the user can guess the content of the received content information.

A vehicle-mounted device, comprising:
- a communication unit configured to perform wireless communication with a center apparatus via a roadside apparatus;
- a reproduction unit configured to perform audio reproduction;
- a control unit configured to respond to receiving content information from the center apparatus by the communication unit to cause the reproduction unit to perform audio reproduction of a notification sound that notifies that the content information has been received;
- and
- a memory unit configured to store a plurality of notification sounds and a table in which one of the plurality of notification sounds has been associated with a classification of the content information,
- wherein, when causing to perform the audio reproduction of the notification sound, the control unit operates to decide the classification of the content information in accordance with an identifier attached to the received content information, and perform the audio reproduction by using the notification sound associated with the decided classification in the table stored by the memory unit.
