Abstract
A semiconductor light emitting device including a second electrode layer; a light emitting unit including a plurality of compound semiconductor layers under one portion of the second electrode layer; a first insulating layer under the other portion of the second electrode; an electrostatic protection unit including a plurality of compound semiconductor layer under the first insulating layer; a first electrode layer electrically connecting the light emitting unit to the electrostatic protection unit; and a wiring layer electrically connecting the electrostatic protection unit to the second electrode layer.
Claims20
A semiconductor light emitting device, comprising:
- a substrate;
- first and second light emitting structures on the substrate;
- a first insulating layer between the substrate and the second light emitting structure;
- a second insulating layer on an upper surface and a lateral side of the first light emitting structure;
- a first electrode layer disposed on an upper surface and a side of the second insulating layer and electrically connecting the first light emitting structure to the second light emitting structure;
- and
- a second contact layer between the first and the second light emitting structures such that the second contact layer electrically connects the first electrode layer to the second light emitting structure.
A semiconductor light emitting device, comprising:
- a substrate;
- a second electrode layer comprising a reflective metal;
- first and second light emitting structures on the second electrode layer;
- a first insulating layer on at least a part of the second electrode layer;
- a second insulating layer on an upper surface and a lateral side of the first light emitting structure;
- a first electrode layer disposed on an upper surface and a side of the second insulating layer and electrically connecting the first light emitting structure to the second light emitting structure;
- and
- a second contact layer between the first and the second light emitting structures such that the second contact layer electrically connects the first electrode layer to the second light emitting structure.
