Abstract
The present invention provides a method for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis with a pharmaceutically acceptable anion exchange resin such as, for example, colestimide.

A method of treating nonalcoholic steatohepatitis in a patient in need of such treatment, the method comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of colestimde, as a sole active ingredient, to the patient to treat the nonalcoholic steatohepatitis.
