Abstract
The invention relates to a device for the qualitative and/or quantitative determination of at least one component of a chemically reducible gas mixture, an exhaust gas catalytic converter utilizing such a device, a vehicle including such a catalytic converter, a process for preparing such a device, a process for monitoring the NOx emissions of a vehicle, and the use of such a device.
Claims19
A device for the qualitative and/or quantitative determination of at least one component of a chemically reducible gas mixture, comprising:
- a) a reduction layer for the chemical reduction of at least one component of the gas mixture;
- b) an oxidation layer for the partial or complete back oxidation of the component(s) chemically reduced by the reduction layer;
- and
- c) a selective gas sensor electrode for the qualitative and/or quantitative determination of at least one of the back-oxidized components.
