Abstract
An inkjet cartridge has an ink containment system for storing ink for printing. The inkjet cartridge includes a printhead having a plurality nozzles in fluid communication with the ink reservoir and an electrical interconnect for providing an electrical communication between the printhead and a printer controller. The electrical interconnect is disposed at an acute angle relative to the printhead.
Claims10
An inkjet cartridge having an ink containment system for storing ink for printing, the inkjet cartridge comprising:
- a collapsible ink reservoir;
- a printhead having a plurality of nozzles in fluid communication with the ink reservoir;
- and, an electrical interconnect for providing an electrical communication between the printhead and a printer controller, the electrical interconnect disposed at an acute angle relative to the printhead, a housing in which the ink reservoir is disposed for storing ink for printing, and a snout attached to the housing, and the snout having a first surface on which the printhead is mounted and a second surface on which the electrical interconnect is mounted and the second surface is disposed at an acute angle relative to the first surface;
- and, wherein the second surface of the snout is disposed at an angle that is less than 90 degrees relative to the first surface of the snout in a clockwise direction from the first surface across the snout to the second surface when the cartridge is in a vertical printing position or in a counterclockwise direction from the first surface across the snout to the second surface when the cartridge is in a horizontal printing position.
