Abstract
An automated banking machine operates responsive to data read from data bearing records, such as user cards, to cause machine user authorization and financial transfers. Account data read from a user card is associated in a data store with instructions for displaying a customer interface uniquely associated with the particular bank where the user holds the account. The customer interface includes user-selectable financial transaction options. The arrangement enables the customer interface of the user's home bank, with which the user is familiar, to also be automatically displayed when the user operates automated banking machines of other banks.
Claims20
At least one computer readable medium comprising non-transitory computer executable instructions that when executed by at least one computer
- which is associated with an automated banking machine,
- wherein the machine includes at least one reader and at least one display,
- wherein the machine is operable to output display screens through the at least one display,
- wherein the machine is operable to respectively output through the at least one display, a same attract mode display screen that is shared by each of a plurality of financial institutions which differ from each other,
- wherein the machine is operable to output through the at least one display, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading account data associated with a financial account held at a respective financial institution of the plurality of financial institutions, at least one display screen that identifies the respective financial institution,
- wherein the machine is operable to respectively output through the at least one display for each respective financial institution, at least one display screen that comprises a respective user interface associated with the respective financial institution,
- cause the at least one computer to carry out a method that includes:
- (a) causing the machine to output through the at least one display, the same attract mode display screen;
- and at least one of (b), (c), or (d),
- wherein (b) includes:
- (bi) causing the machine to output at least one first display screen that identifies a first institution, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading account data associated with a financial account held at the first financial institution;
- and
- (bii) causing the machine to output a first user interface associated with the first financial institution,
- wherein each display screen of the first user interface visually differs from each other display screen of the first user interface,
- wherein the first user interface includes data corresponding to machine user-selectable transaction options;
- wherein (c) includes:
- (ci) causing the machine to output at least one second display screen that identifies a second institution, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading account data associated with a financial account held at the second financial institution;
- and
- (cii) causing the machine to output a second user interface associated with the second financial institution,
- wherein each display screen of the second user interface visually differs from each other display screen of the second user interface,
- wherein the second user interface includes data corresponding to machine user-selectable transaction options;
- wherein (d) includes:
- (di) causing the machine to output at least one third display screen that identifies a third institution, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading account data associated with a financial account held at the third financial institution;
- and
- (dii) causing the machine to output a third user interface associated with the third financial institution,
- wherein each display screen of the third user interface visually differs from each other display screen of the third user interface,
- wherein the third user interface includes data corresponding to machine user-selectable transaction options,
- wherein the third user interface differs from at least one of the first user interface or the second user interface;
- wherein the at least one processor is operable to carry out each of (b), (c), and (d).
At least one computer readable medium comprising non-transitory computer executable instructions that when executed by at least one processor,
- which is associated with an automated banking machine,
- wherein the machine includes at least one reader operable to read machine user data usable to identify a financial account,
- wherein the machine includes at least one display,
- cause the at least one processor to carry out a method that includes at least one of (a) or (b),
- wherein (a) includes:
- (ai) causing first financial institution display content to be accessed from at least one data store, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading machine user data associated with a first financial institution,
- wherein the first financial institution display content includes first identifying material associated with the first financial institution, and
- (aii) causing the at least one display to output the first identifying material accessed in (ai);
- wherein (b) includes:
- (bi) causing second financial institution display content to be accessed from the at least one data store, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading machine user data associated with a second financial institution which differs from the first financial institution,
- wherein the second financial institution display content includes second identifying material associated with the second financial institution, and
- (bii) causing the at least one display to output the second identifying material accessed in (bi);
- wherein the at least one processor is operable to carry out each of (a) and (b).
At least one computer readable medium comprising non-transitory computer executable instructions that when executed by at least one processor,
- which is associated with an automated banking machine that includes
- at least one reader operable to read machine user data usable to identify a financial account, and
- at least one display operable to respectively output different user interfaces, each of which includes machine user-selectable financial transaction options,
- cause the at least one processor to carry out a method that includes at least one of:
- (a) causing the at least one display to output a first user interface which is associated with a first financial institution, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading machine user data that corresponds to the first financial institution;
- or
- (b) causing the at least one display to output a second user interface which is associated with a second financial institution and visually differs from the first user interface, responsive at least in part to the at least one reader reading machine user data that corresponds to the second financial institution;
- wherein the at least one processor is operable to carry out each of (a) and (b).
