Abstract
The disclosure concerns a method for optimizing multiresolution blending of confocal microscope images including the steps of: the multi-band blender proceeding pyramidal correlations; the multi-band blender collecting numerical information from each row of a Laplacian image; the multi-band blender integrating the numerical information from a Laplacian domain of pyramid representation; the multi-band blender measuring the discrepancy between adjacent rows; and the multi-band blender optimizing the overlapped region by estimating the best blending coefficients.
Claims6
A method for optimizing multiresolution blending of confocal microscope images comprising the steps of:
- (1) a main processor confirming the number of images stored in a database;
- (2) the main processor deciding whether the number of images stored in the database to be stitched are more than two, if no, going to step (3), otherwise, going to step (7);
- (3) a multiscale correlation estimator proceeding pyramidal correlations;
- (4) a local gain-compensator gaining compensation for the overlapped region of the two images;
- (5) an intensity adjuster proceeding an intensity adjustment beyond the overlapped regions;
- (6) a stitching-position finder proceeding a dynamic programming, then going to step (15);
- (7) the main processor deciding whether the pyramidal correlation is a must, if yes, going step (8), otherwise, going to step (12);
- (8) the multiscale correlation estimator proceeding the pyramidal correlations;
- (9) an adjacency adjustor proceeding an adjacency adjustment;
- (10) the main processor deciding whether a linear adjustment by a distance map is a must, if yes, going to step (11), otherwise, going to step (13);
- (11) the main processor proceeding the linear adjustment by the distance map;
- (12) the main processor proceeding an scale invariant feature transform (SIFT);
- (13) a global gain compensator executing a gain compensation for the all images;
- (14) a multi-band blender proceeding a multi-band blending;
- and
- (15) the main processor combining the images to form the confocal microscopy image.
