Abstract
When a monochromatic copy mode is to be executed, a control section sets a read mode in a scanner section so as to enable the scanner section to read an image at high speed by means of only a line sensor K, sets in an image processing section an image process that can print monochromatic image information, which is sent from the scanner section, with a single black color in the printer section, and sets in the printer section a monochromatic print mode that can print a black image at high speed, thereby controlling a monochromatic copy operation.
Claims23
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a first image reader configured to read an image at a first scan speed via a filter, which passes light of a specific wavelength band, and to convert the image to image information that is luminance information;
- a second image reader configured to read an image at a second scan speed, which is higher than the first scan speed, and to covert the image to image information;
- a first printer, which is arranged as a tandem printer, configured to print an image on the basis of the image information that is read by the first image reader on a paper;
- and
- a second printer configured to print an image, based on the image information that is read by the second reader on another paper at a speed faster than a printing speed of the first printer.
An image forming method comprising:
- reading by a first image reader an image at a first scan speed via a filter, which passes light of a specific wavelength band, and converting the image to image information that is luminance information;
- reading by a second image reader an image at a second scan speed, which is higher than the first scan speed, and converting the image to image information;
- printing by a first printer, which is arranged as a tandem printer, an image on the basis of the image information that is read by the first image reader on a paper;
- and
- printing by a second printer an image at a speed that is higher than a speed of the first printer, based on the image information that is read by the second reader on another paper at a speed faster than a printing speed of the first printer.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a first scanner which reads an image via a filter which passes light of a specific wavelength band;
- a second scanner which reads an image via no filter or a transparent filter at a scanning speed which is faster than a scanning speed of the first scanner;
- a first output printer, which is arranged as a tandem printer, which forms a multicolored output image;
- a second output printer which forms a monochrome output image at an outputting speed faster than an outputting speed of the first output printer, the scanning speed of the first scanner being slower than the scanning speed of the second scanner;
- and
- a control unit which controls copying in a manner that, when reading a plurality of images continuously and copying the plurality of images continuously, monochrome copies are output more than multicolored copies per unit time, by scanning an image with the first scanner and outputting the scanned image with the first output printer for a color copy operation, and by scanning an image with the second scanner and outputting the scanned image with the second output printer for a monochrome copy operation.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a first line sensor having a filter which passes light of a specific wavelength band;
- a second line sensor for luminance information which is different from luminance information of the first line sensor;
- a first printer, which is arranged as a tandem printer, which forms a multicolored image;
- a second printer which forms a monochrome image;
- and
- a controller which instructs the first line sensor to read image information at a first scanning speed, instructs the second line sensor to read image information at a second scanning speed which is faster than the first scanning speed, instructs the first printer to print out multicolored copies based on the information scanned by the first line sensor, and instructs the second printer to print out monochrome copies, based on the luminance information read by the second line sensor, the second printer configured to obtain image information from the second line sensor faster than the first line sensor, and based thereon, form the image at the speed faster than the printing speed of the first printer.
