Abstract
An image forming apparatus is provided, in which the image forming apparatus includes a user database in which user identification information for identifying an user of the image forming apparatus is registered, an operation panel for receiving a key operation input, a secure program used for determining whether a user service can be provided on the basis of the user identification information in the user database and another user identification information input by the user.
Claims12
A method implemented by an apparatus having a processor to control the apparatus and a display device, comprising:
- executing, by the processor, a secure application;
- displaying, by the secure application executed by the processor, an authentication screen to perform user authentication on the display device;
- receiving, at the secure application executed by the processor, user identification information that identifies a user;
- performing, by the secure application executed by the processor, user authentication based on the received user identification;
- and
- displaying, when the user authentication is successful, a selection screen for receiving a selection of an application to be executed amongst a plurality of applications, on the display device.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a display device;
- and
- a processor configured to execute a secure application and implementing:
- a first display unit configured to display, by the secure application, an authentication screen to perform user authentication on the display device,
- a receiving unit configured to receiving, at the secure application, user identification information that identifies a user,
- an authentication unit configured to perform, by the secure application, user authentication based on the received user identification, and
- a second display unit configured to display, when the user authentication is successful, a selection screen for receiving a selection of an application to be executed amongst a plurality of applications, on the display device.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon a secure application that when executed by a computer causes the computer to implement a method, comprising:
- displaying, by the secure application, an authentication screen to perform user authentication on the display device;
- receiving, at the secure application, user identification information that identifies a user;
- performing, by the secure application, user authentication based on the received user identification;
- and
- displaying, when the user authentication is successful, a selection screen for receiving a selection of an application to be executed amongst a plurality of applications, on the display device.
