Abstract
Disclosed are therapeutic tetrahydroisoquinoline compositions for the treatment of cancer, these compositions having selectivity for cancer cells while demonstrating few, if any, deleterious side effects on normal cells.

A compound of Formula (I)
- wherein R1 is H, H2Cl, CH3, or —COOC(CH3)3,
- R3 is —OCH3, —CF3, —NHSO2CH3, —NHCOCH3, —SO2CH3, —N(CH3)2, —CN, —NO2, —NH2, —CO2CH3, —OCF3, —CH3, F, Cl, Br, or I.
A method of treating glioma, the method comprising administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound as in formula (I)
- wherein R1 is H, H2Cl, CH3, or —COOC(CH3)3;
- R3 is —OCH3, —CF3, —NHSO2CH3, —NHCOCH3, —SO2CH3, —N(CH3)2, —CN, —NO2, —NH2, —CO2CH3, —OCF3, —CH3, F, Cl, Br, or I.
