Abstract
The invention relates to methods for isolating and/or identifying nucleic acids. The invention also provides kits for isolating and/or identifying nucleic acids.
Claims15
A kit comprising:
- a solid phase;
- a nucleic acid binding buffer, wherein both DNA and RNA bind the solid phase under conditions generated by the nucleic acid binding buffer;
- and
- a selective DNA binding buffer, wherein the conditions generated by the selective DNA binding buffer allow selective binding of DNA to the solid phase, wherein the pH of the DNA binding buffer is equal to or above 8.0.
