Abstract
According to one embodiment, a liquid ink includes a leuco dye, a developer, and a solvent. The developer is selected from wherein X1 is selected from H and CH3, X2 is selected from H and OH, X5 is selected from C(CH3)2 and CO, and X4 is selected from phenyl group and alkyl group.
Claims12
A liquid ink comprising:
- a leuco dye;
- a developer selected from
- wherein X1 is selected from H and CH3, X2 is selected from H and OH, X5 is selected from C(CH3)2 and CO, and X4 is selected from phenyl group and alkyl group;
- and
- a solvent, the solvent comprising a water-soluble organic solvent and water, the water-soluble organic solvent being selected from the group consisting of alcohols, glycols, glycol monoalkyl ethers, and glycol dialkyl ethers and the water accounting for 10 to 40% of a total mass of the solvent.
