Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and system to regulate pressure in an object, and is especially suitable for regulating intracranial pressure in people suffering from hydrocephalus. The system includes the measurement of physical parameters other than the pressure to be regulated, especially the present position of the object, such as the inclination.
Claims14
A system to regulate physical parameter(s) where the system includes a first sensor to measure a position, a second sensor to measure the pressure of a fluid and implanted means to receive wireless transmitted energy;
- wherein the second sensor operates by wireless transmitted energy;
- and
- wherein the system further includes an antenna system comprising at least one receiving unit, at least one transmitting unit and at least three aid receiving units, the at least one receiving unit and the at least three aid receiving units forming a construction with the at least one receiving unit arranged in the center of the construction, the antenna system thereby allowing the at least one receiving unit to be positioned at a position with a strong signal, based on comparison of the field strengths of signals received by the at least three aid receiving units.
