Refrigerator with door opening device

A refrigerator door opening device, comprising:

• a main body having left and right vertical side walls, an upper wall horizontally connecting the two side walls, and a lower wall horizontally connecting the two side walls, an insulation partition horizontally disposed between the upper and lower walls and extending between the two side walls, an upper compartment defined by the upper wall, the insulation partition and upper portions of the two side walls, and a lower compartment defined by the lower wall, the insulation partition and lower portions of the two side walls;
• a drawer-type door adapted to slidably open and close relative to the lower compartment;
• a seal between the door and the insulation partition, the lower wall and the lower portions of the left and right walls;
• a movable horizontally-extending handle disposed at an upper portion of the drawer-type door,
• wherein the door handle has a length substantially corresponding to a width of the door;
• first and second push members between the movable handle and the insulation partition and adapted to move in accordance with a movement of the horizontally-extending door handle operating under an external force and push against the insulation partition to break the seal and cause the drawer-type door to open relative to the main body,
• wherein the horizontally-extending door handle includes a first pressing portion to engage with the first push member, a second pressing portion to engage with the second push member, and a grip rod spaced from a front surface of the door,
• wherein the first push member is positioned to press against a first region of a front wall of the insulation partition, and the second push member is positioned to press against a second region of the front wall of the insulation partition, and
• wherein the first region is located adjacent to the left side wall of the main body, and the second region is located adjacent to the right side wall of the main body;
• a first elastic member disposed between the first push member and the door to move the first push member to a retreated position when the external force is removed from the door handle;
• and
• a second elastic member disposed between the second push member and the door to move the second push member to the retreated position when the external force is removed from the door handle.

A refrigerator/freezer comprising:

• left and right vertical side walls, an upper wall horizontally connecting the two side walls, a lower wall horizontally connecting the two side walls, an insulation partition horizontally disposed between the upper and lower walls and connecting the two side walls, a refrigerating compartment defined by portions of the side walls, the insulation partition and one of the upper or lower wall, and a freezer compartment defined by other portions of the side walls, the insulation partition and the other of the upper and lower wall;
• a drawer slidably movable between open and close positions relative to the freezer compartment;
• a horizontally-extending handle attached to an upper portion of the drawer and being upwardly rotatable under an external force;
• and
• first and second spaced push members directly pivotably connected to the handle and movable to push against the insulation partition with rotation of the handle to move the drawer into the open position,
• wherein the first push member is positioned to push against a first region of a front wall of the insulation partition, and the second push member is positioned to push against a second region of the front wall of the insulation partition,
• wherein the handle moves the push members forward when the handle is rotated upward by the external force, and the handle is rotated downward by a weight of the handle when the external force is removed from the handle, and
• wherein the first region is located adjacent to but spaced from the left side wall, and the second region is located adjacent but spaced from the right side wall.
