Abstract
A rechargeable battery includes an electrode assembly in a battery case, and a buffer sheet between the electrode assembly and the battery case, the buffer sheet contacting the electrode assembly and the battery case.
Claims19
A rechargeable battery, comprising:
- an electrode assembly in a battery case;
- and
- a buffer sheet between the electrode assembly and the battery case, the buffer sheet contacting the electrode assembly and the battery case, and a center of the buffer sheet being spaced apart from a bottom of the battery case,
- wherein the buffer sheet includes springs contacting the battery case, the springs being configured to exert spring force against the sidewalls of the battery case and to maintain a bottom of the buffer sheet spaced apart from the bottom of the battery case.
