Abstract
A second communication device is detected in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call. A substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call is provided from the first communication device to the second communication device. At least a part of the first communication device is placed into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device.
Claims29
A system comprising:
- circuitry for detecting a second communication device in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call,
- wherein the circuitry for detecting a second communication device in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call includes at least circuitry for identifying the second communication device from one or more images;
- circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- and
- circuitry for placing at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device.
2 more elements
A system comprising:
- a first communication device;
- a second communication device;
- logic to detect if the second communication device is in proximity to the first communication device;
- logic to provide a substantially uninterrupted transfer of a call of the first communication device to the second communication device;
- logic to place at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- and
- logic to provide a substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call back to the first communication device.
4 more elements
A system comprising:
- circuitry for detecting a second communication device in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call;
- circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call to the second communication device, wherein the circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call to the second communication device includes:
- circuitry for gradually attenuating communication with the first communication device;
- and
- circuitry for placing at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device.
2 more elements
A system comprising:
- circuitry for detecting a second communication device in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call;
- circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- and
- circuitry for placing at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device, wherein the circuitry for placing at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode includes:
- circuitry for dimming or disabling a visual display of the first communication device.

A system comprising:
- circuitry for detecting a second communication device in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call;
- circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- circuitry for placing at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- and
- circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call back to the first communication device.
2 more elements
A system comprising:
- circuitry for detecting a second communication device in proximity to a first communication device engaged in a call;
- circuitry for providing substantially uninterrupted transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- circuitry for placing at least a part of the first communication device into a sleep mode in response to transfer of the call to the second communication device;
- and
- circuitry for the first communication device providing an indication that call transfer is available as a result of detecting proximity of the second communication device and the first communication device.
