Emergency ringing facility for mobile phones

A wireless communication device, comprising:

• a communication module configured to establish a data communication link with a remote wireless communication device over a data communication network and to establish a voice communication link with the remote wireless communication device over a voice communication network;
• a data storage area configured to store an application executed by the communication module, the data storage area further configured to store a phonebook comprising at least one unique identifier and an override code for the remote wireless communication device;
• and
• a profile management module configured to receive a request from the communication module to override a silent mode of the remote wireless communication device, to obtain the override code of the remote wireless communication device from an authentication server and send the override code to the remote wireless communication device over a wireless communication network to override a silent mode of the remote wireless communication device, wherein the override code is sent to the remote wireless communication device via the data communication network.
