Acoustic reflector and energy storage for media assemblies

A media assembly comprising:

• a housing having an inlet and an outlet;
• a media device oriented in the housing;
• a generator mounted in the housing in electrical communication with the media device;
• a fan operably connected to the generator and oriented in the housing so that air that passes into the housing through the inlet and out of the housing through the outlet, causes the fan to rotate thereby operating the generator and providing a power source to the media device.

A media assembly comprising:

• a housing;
• a speaker mounted to the housing;
• a generally translucent acoustic reflector spaced apart from and facing the speaker for reflecting acoustic vibrations past and outboard of the housing to a first region;
• a primary light source oriented proximate to the reflector to convey light through the reflector, past and outboard of the housing for illuminating a second region that at least partially includes the first region;
• and
• a secondary light source for illuminating the reflector for conveying an illumination signal.
