Abstract
A wireless mesh network system includes a plurality of wireless devices adapted to forward a message packet. Each of the wireless devices includes a transmitting unit, a receiving unit, a communications controller, and a RAM. Further, the communications controller controls such that an original source address contained in a message packet forwarded by a wireless device, which is an address of the wireless device that has firstly transmitted the message packet, and a packet number that identifies the message packet are stored in the RAM, and controls such that a message packet received is forwarded if information contained in the message packet received is not consistent with information of the original source address and the packet number stored in the RAM.
Claims10
A wireless mesh network system, which includes a plurality of wireless devices,
- wherein each of the wireless devices comprises:
- a transmitting unit, a receiving unit, a communications controller, and a RAM, and
- wherein the communications controller is adapted to determine whether a message packet received by the receiving unit is identical to a previously forwarded message packet that has previously been by the transmitting unit, said communications controller comparing information contained in the received message packet with information contained in the previously forwarded message packet and stored in the RAM,
- wherein the information stored in the RAM includes an original source address contained in the previously forwarded message packet, which is an address of a wireless device that has firstly transmitted the previously forwarded message packet, a packet type and a packet number that identifies the previously forwarded message packet,
- wherein the information contained in the received message packet includes an original source address, which is an address of a wireless device that first transmitted the received message packet, a packet type and a packet number that identifies the received message packet,
- wherein, if the original source address, the packet type and the packet number of the received message packet is consistent with those of the previously forwarded message packet, respectively, the communications controller determines that the received message packet is identical to the previously forwarded message packet,
- wherein, if the received message packet is different from the previously forwarded message packet, the communications controller is adapted to control the transmitting unit to forward the received message packet and control the RAM to store the information contained in the currently forwarded message packet, and
- wherein, if the received message packet is identical to the previously forwarded message packet, the communications controller is adapted to control the transmitting unit not to forward the received message packet.
A wireless device having a transmitting unit, a receiving unit, a communications controller, and a RAM, which is included in a wireless mesh network system,
- wherein the communications controller is adapted to determine whether a message packet received by the receiving unit is identical to a previously forwarded message packet that has previously been forwarded by the transmitting unit, said communications controller comparing information contained in the received message packet with information contained in the previously forwarded message packet and stored in the RAM,
- wherein the information stored in the RAM includes an original source address contained in the previously forwarded message packet, which is an address of a wireless device that first transmitted the previously forwarded message packet, a packet type and a packet number that identifies the previously forwarded message packet,
- wherein the information contained in the received message packet includes an original source address, which is an address of a wireless device that first transmitted the received message packet, a packet type and a packet number that identifies the received message packet,
- wherein, if the original source address, the packet type and the packet number of received message packet is consistent with those of the previously forwarded message packet, respectively, the communications controller determines that the received message packet is identical to the previously forwarded message packet,
- wherein, if it is determined that the received message packet is different from the previously forwarded message packet the communications controller is adapted to control the transmitting unit to forward the received message packet and control the RAM to store the information contained in the currently forwarded message packet, and
- wherein, if the received message packet is identical to the previously forwarded message packet, the communications controller is adapted to control the transmitting unit not to forward the received message packet.
A control method of a wireless mesh network system, which includes a plurality of wireless devices, each of the wireless devices having a transmitting unit, a receiving unit, a communication controller, and a RAM,
- wherein the communications controller is adapted to determine whether a message packet received by the receiving unit is identical to a previously forwarded message packet that has been previously forwarded by the transmitting unit, said communications controller comparing information contained in the received message packet with information contained in the previously forwarded message packet and stored in the RAM,
- wherein the information stored in the RAM includes controls an original source address contained in the previously forwarded message packet, which is an address of a wireless device that first transmitted the previously forwarded message packet, a packet type and a packet number that identifies the previously forwarded message packet,
- wherein the information contained in the received message packet includes an original source address, which is an address of a wireless device that first transmitted the received message packet, a packet type and a packet number that identifies the received message packet,
- wherein, if the original source address, the packet type and the packet number of received message packet is consistent with those of the previously forwarded message packet, respectively, the communications controller determines that the received message packet is identical to the previously forwarded message packet,
- wherein, if it is determined that the received message packet is different from the previously forwarded message packet, the communications controller is adapted to control the transmitting unit to forward the received message packet and control the RAM to store the information of the currently forwarded message packet, and
- wherein, if the received message packet is identical to the previously forwarded message packet, the communications controller is adapted to control the transmitting unit not to forward the received message packet.
