Method and apparatus for user interface of input devices

A method for providing a 3 dimensional (3-D) user interface, the method comprising:

• generating a holographic image at a first location in a certain 3-D coordinate system;
• sensing, based on quadrilateral angle navigation to determine a touch point position with the certain 3-D coordinate system, user interaction with the holographic image within the 3-D coordinate system;
• correlating the sensed user interaction with the holographic image using the 3-D coordinate system;
• and
• providing one or more indications responsive to a correlation of the sensed user interaction with the holographic image,
• wherein the one or more indications comprise displaying the holographic image at a second location in the 3-D coordinate system.

A computer program product comprising:

• a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer readable program codes embodied therein for causing a computer to provide a 3 dimensional (3-D) user interface, the computer readable program codes causing the computer to:
• generate a holographic image at a first location in a certain 3-D coordinate system;
• sense, based on quadrilateral angle navigation to determine a touch point position within the certain 3-D coordinate system, user interaction with the holographic image within the 3-D coordinate system;
• correlate the sensed user interaction with the holographic image using the 3-D coordinate system;
• and
• provide one or more indications responsive to a correlation of the sensed user interaction with the holographic image,
• wherein the one or more indications comprise generating the holographic image at a second location in the 3-D coordinate system.
