A composition comprising crystalline tazobactam arginine characterized by an X-ray powder diffraction pattern having peaks expressed in degrees 2-Theta±0.2° at angles of 4.8°, 8.9°, 11.3°, 14.9°, 18.0°, 19.4°, 21.3°, 22.8° and 24.3°.
