Abstract
A wind turbine blade is provided with an outer skin layer formed of fiber-reinforced plastic, and a plurality of main structural members formed of fiber-reinforced plastic integrally with the outer skin layer to extend in a blade length direction. The main structural members include a plurality of main dorsal structural members positioned on a dorsal side of the wind turbine blade, and a plurality of main ventral structural members positioned on a ventral side of the wind turbine blade.
Claims19
A wind turbine blade, comprising:
- an outer skin layer formed of fiber-reinforced plastic;
- a plurality of main structural members formed of fiber-reinforced plastic and coupled to said outer skin layer to extend in a blade length direction of said wind turbine blade;
- an inner skin layer opposed to an inner face of said outer skin layer;
- and
- a core member sandwiched between said outer skin layer and said inner skin layer,
- wherein said plurality of main structural members include:
- a plurality of main dorsal structural members positioned on a dorsal side of said wind turbine blade;
- and
- a plurality of main ventral structural members positioned on a ventral side of said wind turbine blade,
- wherein each of said plurality of main structural members include a plurality of rectangular-shaped fiber cloths each having a face opposed to a blade surface of said wind turbine blade,
- wherein said face of each of said fiber cloths is rectangular.
A wind turbine blade, comprising:
- an outer skin layer formed of fiber-reinforced plastic;
- a plurality of main structural members formed of fiber-reinforced plastic and coupled to said outer skin layer to extend in a blade length direction of said wind turbine blade;
- and
- core members coupled to said outer skin layer,
- wherein said core members have a main surface opposed to a blade surface of said wind turbine blade and an end surface oblique to said main surface,
- wherein said plurality of main structural members include:
- a plurality of main dorsal structural members positioned on a dorsal side of said wind turbine blade;
- and
- a plurality of main ventral structural members positioned on a ventral side of said wind turbine blade,
- wherein each of said plurality of main structural members include a plurality of rectangular-shaped fiber cloths each having a face opposed to the blade surface of said wind turbine blade,
- wherein said face of each of said fiber cloths is rectangular, and
- wherein said plurality of fiber cloths are laminated so that ends thereof are alternately shifted in opposite directions along said blade chord direction, and said plurality of fiber cloths are arranged so that only one end of each of said plurality of fiber cloths in said blade chord direction overlaps said end surface.
A wind turbine blade, comprising:
- an outer skin layer formed of fiber-reinforced plastic, wherein said outer skin layer includes a first fiber cloth;
- a plurality of main structural members formed of fiber-reinforced plastic to extend in a blade length direction of said wind turbine blade, wherein each of said plurality of main structural members includes second fiber cloths opposed to said first fiber cloth;
- an inner skin layer opposed to said outer skin layer;
- and
- a core member sandwiched between said outer skin layer and said inner skin layer, wherein said outer skin layer includes a third fiber cloth opposed to said second fiber cloths, and said first, second, and third fiber cloths are integrated by resin infiltration,
- wherein said plurality of main structural members are integrated with said outer skin layer, and
- wherein each of said plurality of main structural members has a thickness thicker than said outer skin layer,
- wherein said plurality of main structural members include:
- a plurality of main dorsal structural members positioned on a dorsal side of said wind turbine blade;
- and
- a plurality of main ventral structural members positioned on a ventral side of said wind turbine blade.
