Providing linear relationship between temperature and digital code

A method comprising:

• providing a first voltage that depends on temperature;
• and
• providing a second voltage generated in response to an input digital code among a plurality of digital codes, the second voltage having insignificant temperature coefficient;
• wherein
• at an identified temperature, if the first voltage is not equal to the second voltage then adjusting the input digital code until the first voltage is substantially equal to the second voltage;
• whereby the identified temperature corresponds to the corresponding input digital code;
• a plurality of the identified temperatures are substantially linearly related to the plurality of digital codes.

A circuit comprising:

• a first circuit configured to generate a first voltage corresponding to a temperature;
• to generate a second voltage in response to an input digital code among plurality of digital codes;
• and
• to use the first voltage and the second voltage to identify a digital code corresponding to the temperature, the identified digital code being among the plurality of digital codes;
• means for changing the input digital code to change a digital-to-analog current or a digital-to-analog resistance to change the second voltage;
• wherein a plurality of the temperatures is substantially linearly related to the plurality of digital codes.
