Abstract
A jettable solution includes an oil, the oil being one of a naturally occurring oil, an edible oil, or a removable oil, an edible surfactant, an edible aqueous solution, and a pharmaceutical solubilized into the naturally occurring oil, in which the naturally occurring oil, the pharmaceutical, the surfactant, and the aqueous solution form a microemulsion.
Claims10
A method for dispensing an oral medication comprising:
- selectively dispensing a microemulsion comprising a water insoluble pharmaceutical in a gradient amount with an inkjet material dispenser onto an edible substrate;
- in which the dispensed pharmaceutical is initially released into a patient at a relatively higher concentration and decreasingly released into a patient at a relatively lower concentration thereafter.
