Abstract
A ventilation system utilizing fans to bring air into a building and exhaust air out of the building using solar panels that can be quickly and easily mounted on the building, such as on roof vents, windows, and the like, with quick application fasteners adjacent to the fans. A sensor may be operatively connected to a controller or logic circuit to measure environmental factors to determine whether to activate the fans. The ventilation system is configured to be a modular device with versatile fasteners for easy installment in windows or attics without the need for modification of the building, such as cutting holes.
Claims16
A ventilation kit for moderating a temperature within a building, comprising:
- a. a first fan attachable to the building at a first existing opening to create a first air flow into the building;
- b. a first power source, comprising a first solar panel operatively connected to the first fan via a first electrical line;
- c. a first quick application fastener to fasten the first solar panel to the building in close association with the first fan;
- d. a second fan attachable to the building at a second existing opening of to create a second air flow out of the building;
- e. a second power source, comprising a second solar panel operatively connected to the second fan via a second electrical line;
- f. a second quick application fastener to fasten the second solar panel to the building in close association with the second fan.
A ventilation kit for a building, comprising:
- a. a first fan positioned at a first end of the building to exhaust air out of the building through a first existing opening;
- b. a first power source comprising a first solar panel, wherein the first solar panel supplies power to at least the first fan;
- c. a first quick application fastener to fasten the first solar panel to the building in close association with the first fan;
- d. a second fan positioned at a distance away from the first fan to blow air into the building through a second existing opening;
- e. a second power source comprising a second solar panel, wherein the second solar panel supplies power to the second fan;
- f. a second quick application fastener to fasten the second solar panel to the building in close association with the second fan.
A method for ventilating a building, comprising:
- a. providing a first quick application fastener to fasten a first solar panel to the building in close association with a first fan, with an electrical line operatively connecting the first solar panel to the first fan, the first fan operatively connected to the building at a first existing opening;
- b. exhausting air out of the building with the first fan at the first existing opening of the building;
- c. providing power to the first fan with the first solar panel, wherein the first solar panel is positioned adjacent to the first fan and operatively connected to the first fan;
- and
- d. blowing air into the building with a second fan positioned at a distance away from the first fan, the second fan receiving power from a second solar panel, the second solar panel attached to the building in close association with the second fan, the second fan connected to the building at a second existing opening via a second quick application fastener.
