Abstract
A humidity dependence improver for polymer film, comprising a compound of the following formula (1) or (2): wherein Ra, Rb and Rc represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; X1 to X6 represent a single bond or a divalent linking group; R1 to R6 represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group.

A retardation film comprising a polymer film wherein the polymer film comprises a polymer having a hydroxyl group and a humidity dependence improver for polymer film, comprising a compound of the following formula (6), (6b) or (9):
- wherein Ra3 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group;
- wherein Ra4 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and Rd1 and Rd2 each independently represent an alkyl group or an aryl group;
- and
- wherein Rb3 and Rc3 each independently represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group.
A polarizer comprising a polymer film wherein the polymer film comprises a polymer having a hydroxyl group and a humidity dependence improver for polymer film, comprising a compound of the following formula (6), (6b) or (9):
- wherein Ra3 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group;
- wherein Ra4 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and Rd1 and Rd2 each independently represent an alkyl group or an aryl group;
- and
- wherein Rb3 and Rc3 each independently represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group.
A liquid crystal display device comprising the polymer film wherein the polymer film comprises a polymer having a hydroxyl group and a humidity dependence improver for polymer film, comprising a compound of the following formula (6), (6b) or (9):
- wherein Ra3 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group;
- wherein Ra4 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and Rd1 and Rd2 each independently represent an alkyl group or an aryl group;
- and
- wherein Rb3 and Rc3 each independently represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group.
