Automatic sound level control

A mobile device comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory device coupled to the processor, the memory device including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform a method comprising:
• identifying a plurality of words in first data, wherein each of the plurality of words corresponds to a particular word of a written language;
• determining a noise level external to the mobile device, determining a particular location of the mobile device, or both;
• determining a sound output level based on the noise level external to the mobile device, the particular location of the mobile device, or both;
• and
• generating sound data based on the sound output level and the plurality of words identified in the first data.

A computer readable storage device including instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform a method comprising:

• at a mobile device:
• identifying a plurality of words in first data, wherein each of the plurality of words corresponds to a particular word of a written language;
• determining a noise level external to the mobile device, determining a particular location of the mobile device, or both;
• determining a sound output level based on the noise level external to the mobile device, the particular location of the mobile device, or both;
• and
• generating sound data based on the sound output level and the plurality of words identified in the first data.
