Apparatus and methods related to wind turbine blades and manufacturing of the blades.
Claims12
A subassembly for connecting a wind turbine blade to a hub, the subassembly comprising:
- a tubular support member, a first end of which is arranged to be connected to the hub;
- and
- at least two spaced bulkheads extending across the tubular support member and which are arranged to be supported by the tubular support member, wherein each bulkhead comprises a hole for receiving a spar member of the wind turbine blade inserted from a second end of the tubular support member opposite to the first end, such that, in use, a portion of the spar member is supported within the tubular support member by the bulkheads and such that the spar member extends from the second end of the tubular support member.
