Disclosed are isolated polypeptides of Alicyclobacillus sp. having acid endoglucanase or acid cellulase activity.

An isolated polypeptide which has an amino acid sequence at least 97% identical with the sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 26, and wherein the polypeptide has acid endoglucanase or acid cellulase activity.
A composition comprising an isolated polypeptide which has an amino acid sequence at least 97% identical with the sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 26, and wherein the polypeptide has acid endoglucanase or acid cellulase activity, and an excipient.
